Twenty years ago, Resolver Recruitment began at my dining room table with little more than determination, instinct, and a belief that I could build something of my own. There was no grand business plan or roadmap to success. Just a lot of hard work, courage, and a genuine passion for people and property. Fast forward to today, and Resolver Recruitment has grown into one of Australia’s most respected real estate recruitment agencies — something that still feels incredibly surreal to say out loud.
Over the past two decades, we’ve had the privilege of helping thousands of people build careers, grow businesses, and find their place within the real estate industry. We’ve partnered with some of the country’s leading agencies, supported professionals at every stage of their careers, and watched the industry evolve in ways I never could have imagined back in 2006. But like any long-standing business, the journey hasn’t always been easy.
We’ve weathered economic uncertainty, market shifts, industry changes, and moments where resilience was tested in ways I never expected. One of the biggest challenges came during the Global Financial Crisis. Recruitment businesses everywhere were impacted, and there were certainly moments of uncertainty and sleepless nights. But what carried us through was relationships, reputation, and staying true to the values we built Resolver on from day one — honesty, loyalty, hard work, and genuinely caring about people.
On a personal level, I also faced one of the toughest battles of my life when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It forced me to step back, reflect, and learn the importance of resilience in an entirely different way. Running a business while navigating treatment and recovery was incredibly challenging, but it also reminded me just how strong the people around me were. The support from my family, friends, clients, candidates, and the Resolver team during that time is something I will never forget.
Those experiences shaped not only me personally, but also the culture of Resolver Recruitment. They taught me the importance of empathy, perspective, and building a business that truly values people first. What I’m most proud of after 20 years isn’t just the longevity of the business — it’s the relationships we’ve built along the way. So many of our clients and candidates have been part of the Resolver family for years, and seeing people we once placed grow into leaders, business owners, and lifelong industry professionals is incredibly rewarding.
To everyone who has supported Resolver Recruitment over the past two decades — thank you.
To our clients who trusted us, our candidates who allowed us to be part of their career journey, and our incredible team members past and present who helped shape Resolver into what it is today — I truly wouldn’t be here without you.
Twenty years later, I still feel just as passionate about this industry and this business as I did sitting at that dining room table all those years ago. And while I’m proud of how far we’ve come, I genuinely believe the best is still to come.
