The role:

This Monday to Friday role has opened up for an experienced property management department head to step in and take the lead on managing 3 offices and 20 property management staff. The portfolio is made up of commercial and residential assets and sits at 1700, this portfolio is set for further growth in 2019. This role requires no portfolio management, no trust accounting and no new business development. The focus for this role is continued staff retention, growth and profitability. your responsibilities will include;

  • Managing the department made up of leasing, new business and property managers
  • Recruitment and on boarding of new staff
  • Manage strategy of on boarding large volumes of new managements
  • Prepare reports, review financials and present to management
  • Look at growth opportunities across the department
  • Manage external offshore administration support service
  • Compliance management and staying on top of legislative changes
  • Handling escalated staffing, Landlord and Tenant complaints
  • Maintain strong relationships with Sales Managers, suppliers and Landlords
  • Performance management, 1 on 1 meetings, set and monitor KPI's


  • Managing multiple offices and a property management department for 5+ years
  • A current real estate licence or certificate of registration
  • Strong knowledge of the act (this will be tested)
  • Proven ability to drive growth and profitability
  • Ability to work autonomously and take the lead on running this department
  • A friendly and approachable management style
  • A clean drivers licence and reliable car
