Our Client:

Is a community based Sydney based Property Development Group who believe in creating entire communities within their residential developments across the Sydney metropolitan area. They have gained a reputation in the marketplace by delivering high quality residential apartments with the finest finishes and the deliverance of entire communities has been well received. With a pipeline of 3 due to be delivered at the end of 2019 and with a new Master Plan for a new precinct having been recently lodged there is some incredibly exciting work to be done over the next 5-10 years for an experienced Development Manager.

The role:

As the new Development Manager for this group you will be working closely with the Development Director as well as the 2 Project Managers in the development team. You will be responsible with your team to deliver the project outcomes of the group. Duties will include:

  • Oversee development projects and deliver within approved budget and timeline
  • Manage and prepare documentation for consultant and contractor agreements
  • Cost and budget management, cashflow management
  • Workplace safety management
  • Prepare accurate reports on projects for board meetings
  • Work with Director on bid management and acquisitions
  • Ensure total compliance across all legal requirements
  • Source implement and monitor asset management plans
  • Work with local governances on new and existing proposals & projects

Essentials include:

The new Development Director will have a minimum of 8-10 years Residential Project Development experience in NSW and will have a thorough capability of end to end delivery of residential projects. You should also:

  • Have hands on experience managing a development team
  • Possess relevant industry degrees locally
  • Sound business judgement a clear thinker
  • Be able to prepare reports at board level
  • Well-developed connections within relevant industry bodies
