We’re looking for a capable and detail-driven Accountant to take ownership of the full finance function for a boutique property development group and its high-net-worth founder working Monday to Thursday each week.
This is a hands-on, all-rounder accounting role — ideal for someone who’s used to managing the full set of accounts across multiple entities. You’ll work directly with the MD, supporting both the business (property development projects, trusts, investments) and personal financial affairs (private properties, expenses, investments).
You’ll be across every aspect of the accounts function, using Xero daily. There’s no internal finance team—so this is perfect for someone confident working independently, with strong systems, reporting, and compliance experience who is looking for a role with great freedom and 4 days per week.

What you'll be doing:
- End-to-end accounting across multiple entities and trusts using Xero
- Full AP/AR, bank recs, journals and month-end processing
- Payroll processing and super compliance
- BAS and IAS preparation and lodgement ( alongside external accountant)
- Management reporting: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and budgets
- Cash flow forecasting and tracking
- Liaising with external accountants on tax and EOFY
- Oversight of personal finance admin, investment reporting and private property costs
- Proven property industry accounting experience (development, real estate, construction or similar)
- 5+ years in an all-round accounting role
- Strong Xero skills and experience working with multiple entities
- Excellent reconciliation, compliance and reporting skills
- Self-sufficient, trustworthy and detail-focused
- Strong communicator with a calm, professional approach
- Able to manage both business and personal finance matters with discretion
