My client is one of my longest standing and a pleasure to work with - they are a privately held Property Group based on the Lower North Shore and their current Financial Controller has decided to retire after 22 years in this seat! With a focus on Development we are looking to replace this Financial Controller role with someone coming from a Property or large Real Estate Background. We can offer you a role in a mature yet fun office where no two days are ever the same... this CEO of this group is always looking at the next site to develop and so feasibility will be a huge part of this role alongside the CEO and Development Managers! Based in great offices on the Lower North Shore we can offer some WFH options (if needed) and also parking will be provided!

Specifics of this pivotal role include:

  • Manage day to day financial operations of this group
  • Direct dealing with financial institutions & preparation of documents
  • Prepare monthly reports of all entities’ cashflows and budgets
  • Financial analysis across all business strategies
  • Assisting in due diligence of new business acquisitions and financing options
  • Preparing commission statements for external sales agents
  • Prepare and oversee insurance requirements for the office
  • Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG and superannuation payments
  • Pay wages and prepare tax summaries
  • Formulate year-end financials & company income tax returns
  • Work in conjunction with various government bodies as required
  • Ensure maximum profitability across all business units
Essential requirements for this role include:
  • CA/CPA certification essential
  • Extensive previous experience as a financial controller
  • Knowledge in corporate governance, complex trust/entity/fund structure
  • Previous experience in Real Estate/ Development
  • Proven stability across previous work history
  • Experience in MYOB, REST, ATO portals, OSR Payroll
  • Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Excellent attention to detail with high level of accuracy
