Our client is a successful boutique Real Estate agency that has a stellar reputation in their Inner City property market. Currently outsourcing the business’s accounts activity is not working out and as such, they are looking to put an in-house Trust Accountant on to manage the sales and rental trust, along with some general accounts duties.
The role:
This role will be approximately 20-25 hours a week spread across 5 days. There is flexibility as to what hours are worked and when, and you are able to WFH full time except for a monthlymeeting in their Inner Sydney city office.

The role:

Reporting into the Operations Manager and Agency Principal, you will be responsible for;
- Daily banking/deposits and daily reconciliation of trust accounts
- End of month trust accounting for the residential portfolio of 475 properties
- Prepare for audits and ensuring compliance requirements are met
- Weekly payment to creditors
- General landlord enquiries related to PM Trust account
- Process sales deposits and settlements
- General accounts payments for mid-month and end of month, general accounts receipting via Xero
- Assist in renewal of annual trust audits
- Prepare cash flow reports
- BAS and Super for PM, Sales and Marketing
- Setting up new client files and answering and statement or invoice queries
- Assist with new staff employment contracts
- 5 years’ experience with residential and commercial trust accounting
- Experience using PropertyMe, Xero or Macquarie Bank highly desirable
- Experience with sales and property management trust accounting
- Experience with general accounting
- A current certificate of registration or real estate licence
- Stable work history with employment references
- Able to work independently
- WFH - Work from home full time with occasional office meeting
- Monday – Friday only, flexibility on hours
