Time and time again we hear from Candidates how stressful their work environments  are; as we all know the work place can be a stressful environment for anyone at times but luckily there are a number of things you can do each day to keep it stress free and increase your productivity.

Keep your work desk clean and tidy

When your work desk is messy, it can make your work seem more overwhelming than it actually is. It is difficult to concentrate when your desk is full of papers and folders. Make it a part of your daily routine to reorganise and clean your work space.

Limit distractions

Try and limit your time on web browsing/social media as they can become distracting and will make you lose focus.

Get outside to clear your head

It’s always important to take some time out and get away from your desk. Go for a walk, grab some a coffee or lunch and you’ll come back into the office feeling refreshed.

Drink tea

Make some Chamomile or Peppermint tea as they both can have calming effects on the body, stabilising your moods and reduces anxiety.

Have a laugh with your colleagues

When you’re feeling stressed, try and surround yourself with colleagues that make you laugh and feel good as laughter increases your heart rate and blood pressure which makes the body feel relaxed.
